Firefox Bookmarks

When I had IE I could open and close "bookmarks" at the top of the list with one click. With Firefox I have to go through View/sidebar/bookmarks, can I open and close bookmarks as in IE?

Right-click on the File toolbar and tick Bookmarks Toolbar.

This only shows most visited and does not keep the favourites list open!

In FF, View > Toolbars -> Customize, and then drag 'n' drop the 'Bookmarks' icon to your top Toolbar
You now have a 'Bookmarks' button you can click on to show or hide.

I still access bookmarks via menu bar.habit I suppose.
Right click tab or bookmarks bar and tick/select the menu bar option.this will display file, edit, view, history, bookmarks etc across the top.
