firefox antivirus built in program

It is considered that, you should not have more than one AV running on your PC at anyone time. My question is ,if you are using Firefox? have you disabled their AV program that came with it?, or are you unknowingly running 2 AVs. Your replies would be interesting. Aine

I didn't know FF had a built-in AV application. I know it has built-in Anti-malware, but that's different from AV.

Firefox doesnt have an AV program with it.

There is a add-on antivirus {clamWin} click here

But I would not use it,

Actually it does....
to disable
Type about:config in the Firefox location bar and filter for the string The default value of that parameter is true which means that scans will be done whenever a file is downloaded. Setting it to false will disable the automatic virus scanning in Firefox 3.

These are the features of Firefox 3 - perhaps you have confused this cross head and sentence?

Anti-Virus Software

"Firefox 3 integrates elegantly with your antivirus software."

MAJ 19:42 21 Nov 08 uses your own AV. Not one of it's own, so it's not "their AV program that came with it", as Aine says.
