Firefox add ons

  carper 13:01 21 Jul 07

I have recently installed the pop up blocker add on and it seems to be blocking things which I wanted to use.If I uninstalled Firefox and reinstalled it would it get me back to the bare state or can I cancel certain aspects. Any help appreciated. Regards Carper

under tools> addons you should get the option to enable or disable

firefox has a built in pop up blocker,do you mean the adblock plus add in? or an extra pop up blocker?
if the latter,go to tools>add ons>uninstall the add on and restart firefox, theres no need to uninstall firefox
to check firefox inbuilt pop up blocker is active

Just to add, reinstalling Firefox will not get rid of the Addons because they are stored in the Profile folder, if you think you are having problems you can delete the Profile folder and when you start Firefox it will create a new one, just make sure you backup your Bookmarks first because you will loose them, the same goes for the Addons, but these can be downloaded from the site again.

This site shows where the Profile folder is located click here
