Fire Fox Instalation ???

  Migwell 00:43 05 Mar 05

If I were to download and install Fire Fox from the internet and give it a go then decided not to keep it, is there a route back and how would I go about going back to IE6 Using XP Pro.

Also is it worth all the hassle of installing Fire Fox?

Firefox is well worth installing. It is much faster than IE.

No problem with having them both installed, use either one.

If you don't like it just uninstall, there should be no problems.

It won't interfere with IE6 in any way, IE6 and Firefox can even be used at the same time.

If you don't want to keep it, then just uninstall it in Add/Remove programs.

Firefox is well worth a look.

Yes it's worth installing and there is no hassle to do it. If you decide to go back to IE then just open Add Remove programs and sun-install Firefox from there. The version of Firefox you want is v 1.0.1 which is the latest one. I have been using Firefox now for several months and there is no way I would go back to IE. A point worth noting however is if you decide to stick with Firefox, do not uninstall IE as Microsoft update uses it.

Thanks to all, I feel a lot happier about giving a try.
