I have just bought a new wireless laptop and I have a problem . I am changing my laptop that was already connected and had a network key, but i can not find the network key, so do i have to set up a new wireless connection or is there a way of finding my old network key???

You should be able to find the existing encryption key by going into the Wireless Security settings in the router.

same problem-my encryption key does not reveal the letters/numbers only dots. How do I proceed?

If you can get into your router just set the encryption to off or change the key to something you know. You shouldn't need to know the key to change it bizzarely.
