Filtering Software

Can anybody suggest a good application for filtering emails?

I was going through my daughters emails with her yesterday and the amount of rubbish she receives is unbelievable.

I do not think children should have to be exposed to such crap and think ISP's and of course authorities in the UK should be more proactive in preventing this spamming.

Get mailwasher from mailwasher.net - it has an option to check the DNS origin of the mail and with a little time will quickly be able to recognise genuine mail from spam. It also has an option to make black and white lists e.e. specify who friends are so that thier mail is always safe.

Better than any filtering programs is to change her e-mail address to something which is apparent gobbledy gook, and not likely to be used by an auto dialler from a spam merchant. Instruct her NOT to put her e-mail address on any websites. I had reached the point of getting about a hundred or more rubbish e-mails daily, but since changing my address about three months ago have not received any at all.
