Film Scanning Question

  reburner57 15:14 29 Nov 04

I am in the market for a scanner but do not have the budget for a proper film scanner. For my needs a scanner such as the Epson 2580 would seem top fit the bill as it can cope with printed photos, 35mm slides and 35mm negatives. Problem is I also have a lot of APS films I'd like to scan.

The more expensive film scanners have adaptors for these which none of the flatebeds seem to have. Does anyone know whether it is possible to get the film out of an APs canister and scan it like and ordinary negative ???

Have never used APS but would assume the canisters are openable/breakable? All you would need then is some form of protection for negs after that.

I have a film scanner 35mm only from jessops £99.90 click here

Alternatively, if you don't have many films Coe Digital will put them on to CD professionally for you (in 3 different resolutions) at £9.99 for the first 36 plus 20p for each additional neg.
