Film Scanning

Having problems with Cyberview X software.

Every time I scan, using a Primefilm 2700, I get an error message "********* must close", no matter which editing software I use, Photoshop, Photoshop Elements, Photo Impact.

Downloaded the latest software/drivers with no improvement.

I know this is an issue with Cyberview, but does anyone know of a permanent solution? Is there any other scanning software that wonks with Primefilm hardware?

I alway use Paint Shop Pro for scanning. It worked OK on my Primefilm 1800 and on the one occasion I tried Microsoft Publisher and that also worked quite well.

Thanks for the response.

The problem is that no matter which editing software I use, when I "acquire/import" it starts up the Cyberview X software to actually drive the scanner. That then crashes the editing software.

Must admit I haven't tried PS Pro yet, but will now do so.

As I thought. Start PS Pro, scan the slide, which starts up Cyberview, which then crashes PS Pro.

Same as my other photo software.

What I'm looking for is an app to replace Cyberview

Could be a problem with the twain driver for the scanner. Have you checked if there is an update available?

Alternatively uninstall and reinstall the scanner.

Sorry just noticed that you have the latest drivers.

I have a Primefilm 1800, my Twain driver appears to be CyberView - 32U. Could you find a download of this version?

Thanks. I've seen a reference to 32U before, but was unable to find it.

I'll try a more diligent search.
