Update - Still yet to purchase V300. Flooding still problematic and taking up a lot of time.

Hello compumac,
I've just used the V300 this afternoon,it's a great scanner, you think I was on Epsons pay roll.

I have been using this website for a very long time and you are, to a certain extent, able to recognise retired people by their input and the regularity of their input.

Sorry sunshine65, should not have used your thread for my comments

I recently purchased a Epson V300 about £65 from Amazon.
Excellant results on scanning 35mm colour slides and Black & White prints.
Bit slow takes about 1 minute plus per slide but very easy to use in full auyt mode.also looks to be well made.
