What program are you using to watch them?

Which ever the program - reinstall it.
For reason unknown some programs are susceptible to degrading or corruption.
Paint Shop Pro is renowned for this, and has a repair feature built in .
This morning playing Power-DVD- after a longish spell of idleness - it would not work.
I simply removed it and re installed

Jack is right, I have had to do this before now when I had trouble playing a dvd. Once re-installed it worked perfectly. I had forgotten about that until Jack reminded me.
