Files with Log/log extensions

I decided to check my system to see how many LOG/log files had accumulated. My computer is a years old Packard Bell PB9533 (and still works!!) so you will not be surprised to find that I found thousands of them.
Can they all be deleted safely without causing problems?
Many, many duplicate files have also accumulated - how do I decide which ones can be removed?

You can delete any Log files as the Program that creates them will make a new one if it needs to
