Hi all..
I am on XP pro using the latest msn messenger and if people send me files i can receive them but it does not allow me to send them files.
I have to attach it as an email.

It says that i have to contact my administrator

Does anyone know why?

Think it your firewall blocking it try turning it off and resending.

Most likely your firewall, if your using the Windows one that will block outgoing files from messenger. The option is if that is the case to use something like the free version of Zone click here or Sygate click here & when you send a file via messenger allow messenger to act as server.

To disable the Windows firewall, go into Start, then on the righthand pane into Connect To, then into your connection, right click it, then propeties/advanced tab, untick the firewall.

Oh well, do you have a firewall?

Not sure
"go into Start, then on the righthand pane into Connect To"

I can't see that in my start menu
