File and Printer Sharing,

  Ex plorer 18:17 06 Apr 06

Hi I have a LAN my two XPs share files but I don’t know how to set the printer up to share.

I also have win 2000 ME,and 98, all connected to the net.

I also have on separate PCs Win95, 3.0, Doss 6.22,

The Win95 cannot be connected to the net as Tiscali don’t have the provisions for it.
Any programs I want to download for Win95 3.11 or DOS will have to be accessed through my LAN after downloading from another PC I hope.

If there is any other way even if it means moving ISP for connection for my older PCs I would.

If posible I would like to have all PCs sharing one printer.

To share the printer go to the machine that has the printer connected to it click start > printers and faxes > right click on the printer that you want to share over the lan > go to shareing and set up allow shareing. On the other ones when in printers and faxes go to add printer > network printer click on browes and it should find the one that you have setup for shareing.
