File managers

  John Ross 22:32 09 Feb 05

My copy of Powerdesk Pro is getting cranky, and I assume it is because it has not been updated by the company for a long time.
I am looking for a goo free file manager to replace it.

Any suggestions gratefully receieved. the more specific the better!
I particularly need :
dual pane view,
synchronisation of directories across network for backup.

An freeware file manager with built in "synchronisation of directories across network for backup" sounds good.
If you find one please post the link in this thread. I'm not asking you to do the work 'cos I'm lazy (well ... maybe a bit) but because you know what to look for.

My version is still perfectly behaved. As a product it is no longer available on the Ontrack Web Site, but is now marketed by VCOM and is at Version 6. Upgrade from V5 available for £24.99

Even better : it is $24.99!

If resolved please do the green tick thingy.
