fdisk not showing full amount

Hello again,

I have a bit of a problem. I have a 60Gig Hard drive that is recognised by my BIOS as 60 Gigs, but when I go into fdisk it says there is only 24.9 Gig's there. So when I create a partition and format it I end up with only the 24.9 Gigs. I have been through the "Display partition info" and there is nothing else there. I have search thru past threads and extensively on the net but I can't find any one that has had this problem before.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

When you first go into FDISK did you select at the very beginning to enable large disc support?

Hi Powerless,
yes I chose "enable large disk support", any other ideas? I could get by with just the 24.9Gig but I don't see why I should have to. By the way, this disk was reading as a 60Gig before I wiped it all to start again.
