Despite checking all the boxes I can find the fax monitor refuses to display when sending faxes - I am running Windows XP.

Any suggestions?

I haven't actually used the fax facilities on XP so the only thing I can ask is are you certain that you have installed the fax software from the XP disk, I remember reading that the fax part of windows isn't installed by default you have to choose to install it. Appologies if you've thought of this already.

It is available, but you have to enable the Fax Console.

Check in Add/Remove Programs>Add/Remove Windows Components that the Fax Console has been enabled.

By the way, you then access the Fax Console through Start>Programs>Accessories>Communications.

From the Settings button from Start you'll be able to open it to configure your requirements (menu under Control Panel link).
