I have a SITECOM 56K FAX DATA MODEM with PHONE TOOLS software. I can send faxes out but cannot receve them. All my settings are to instrctions. Any ideas.

It is a long time since I used Phone Tools, but it always worked OK. However, if as you say your settings are 100% as per instructions, then either the modem or software installation is faulty.

Why not try the 30 day trial version of MightyFax, and see if that corrects the problem.

If you are using the Internet, then you won't be able to send or receive faxes.

To receive faxes without affecting surfing and you are a Tiscali subscriber, you can use its free fax-to-email service.

The email opens up in proper fax form.

WindowsXP also has the Fax Console which is, like previous Windows equivalents, an excellent fax program.

From Windows95 onwards Microsoft provided Windows Messaging and you installed (from the Windows CD-ROM) Awfax.exe and wms.exe

Messaging is laid in the same way and format as Outlook Express.
