favourites from explorer going to new drive, how?

I would like to put a new hard drive into my computer which will be running on Windows 98 SE but am put off by losing my current favourites in internet explorer in the process.

Is there a simple way by which I can save what I have in its current form and transfer it to the new hard drive?

C:\Windows\Favorites

Copy the folder and then paste the folder to the new drive.

Save to a floppy, it'll be a small file.

In IE, File/Import and Export.

Use this to save favorites to a floppy. When new HDD installed, launch IE and Import them from the floppy.

Thanks for your advice.
At one time I did try an experiment to do the importing/exporting part onto a floppy but when I looked at it on the floppy afterwords, it appeared that I would have to do a lot of pruning to get back to the original web pages as it included info about the chosen sites. Am I doing it wrong folks?

When you Import, its all done for you.

If you look at the file it wil be a long list of links to your favorite.

No that's OK - it's the way that IE displays them if you double click on bookmarks.htm
