fault on TFT monitor

returning from a 2week holiday i turned on computer & the monitor has a yellow 1mm line from top to bottom of screen. the computer & monitor had been disconected from electric while i was away. the monitor is a 19in AMW 6 months old. any ideas please

check connections from graphics acrd to monitor also try reseating the card in the PC (if not onboard graphics).

Ive tried monitor on another computer and it is still showing the same fault.

Any other suggestions?

If it does exactly the same on another PC then I would say it must be faulty and would contact whoever you bought it from for return under warranty.

Monitors often come with a 3 year warranty. If no sign of custard in the vicinity, you should get a replacement.

Thinking about it check your warranty, if its on site then they may just come out and replace it at your home - saves you being without a monitor if it has on site warranty. Mine doesn't but mines a cheapo one and its over a year old anyway.
