Good evening all,
I've just bought an external hard drive and one of the things I want to do is a full system backup of my PC (running XP), the drive is formatted to Fat32 but can be changed to NTFS using a supplied utility, is there any advantage reformatting to NTFS (the same as XP) or should I just leave it as Fat32 and forget about it, ...alB

If you change the Drive to NTFS you can save a Video file as one file in excess of 4Gb you can only go to 4 with Fat32

Thank you both for your help, I'm going to format the drive to NTFS, seems it's the better option,as well as the system backup I want to store video, music etc. so keeping both file systems the same should be better for me, Thanks again ...alB
