FAT32 v NTFS

Hi

can anyone please explain the difference between fat32 & ntfs, and offer any reasons or benefits for changing to NTFS

ntfs is hidden, so your whole drive is not on display to hackers, only the software is at risk, where as fat does not hide the drive, so malicious programs can write files on your hdd without having to take controll of windows to do it.
ntfs is safer.

thanks folks i have read the links and it seems that although ntfs is better, i think i will wait till i have to format/re-install xp (probably wont be long) before converting.
