FAT32 or NTFS for Windows installation?

Hi. Does Win XP Home edition care whether the C: drive is formatted to fat32 or NTFS for installation? Is one or other preferred? TIA, J.

would go ntfs more secure than fat also allows for larger hard drive sizes

should add it doesnt care boot from xp disk follow prompts it will give you opportunity to format the drive

If you use FAT32 you are limited to max of 4GB for a single file. That means if you have, for example, a film/DVD that is more than 4GB you cannot copy it to your harddrive.
