Ive got a 3yr old laptop with a 30gb drive,is the drive to small to convert to NTFS files.

NTFS is supposed to make better use of the space available and I have formatted smaller drives than that into NTFS with no apparent problems. In fact the last drive that I formatted was only 8GB when I installed XP onto an old machine

I have used NTFS since I upgraded from W28 to W2K on my 6 year old computer. It works fine on a 9.8GB HDD

I have NTFS on new 30gb Laptop but Fat32 uses a lot less room

PS it's not jus the NTFS file system, it's the Extra files it create's that takes the room and Fat32 boot's a lot quicker
