Have now purchased an external 20GB HD. This is so that I can back up my PC's O/S and all it's contents.

The PC has NTFS, the external is not formatted as yet.

My questions is this:

Is there a limit to the amount of data that can be transfered to another drive if both are NTFS formatted?

No effective limit with NTFS. Fat 32 cannot transfer files greater than 2 gb and has a file size limit of 4 gb, but NTFS limits are so large that they don't come into play.

Thanks flecc for your quick response. Both will now be NTFS.
