Hi,I am told that by converting from a FAT32 to NTFS system,my computer will be more efficient. Is this so ? Also what is the best way to do it and will I need to re-install any software after the conversion ?
Thanks Chris

Go to Start - All Programs - Accessories - Command Prompt

At the prompt type:-

CONVERT C: /FS:NTFS (note the space between c: and /)

After a while it may tell you there are programs running and do you want to continue. If it does choose N

It will then ask if you want to convert at the next re-boot Choose Y

Make a full system backup before doing this conversion.

It almost always goes without problems but, there is just that chance that it won't!
