fans really hot

I have a samsung r60 laptop. and have noticed recently that when i plug the power lead in to keep the battery charged for when using longer time the fans get really hot. not the battery. but when i unplug it again it seems fine. what could it be please.

When the power lead is plugged in click on the battery symbol in the lower right taskbar and select balanced.
The computer is set to run in high performance mode at present and will get warm.
When running on batteries only the balanced mode is set by default.

Also make sure the vents on the bottom are not blocked.
Very easy to do if you're using it on your lap or on a bed!
Best to use it on a hard,flat surface.
