fake message from microsoft?

using mailwasher pro to get ride of junk emails and got this one today perports to come from
"Microsoft Corporation Public Support" [email protected]>
sent on 09/06/2003 at 18:50.19
To "microsoft Customer" >

i have never recieved and email from microsoft like this before, infact don't think i've ever got an email from microsoft, i presume its some kind of hoax or the message contains a virus. any ideas.

Microsoft do not send out e-mail patches. I think you will find the attached file is WORM. So as jimv7 says BIN IT.

I Posted about that a while ago, its still doin the rounds, what got me, was the work that went into it ,someone put a lot of time and effort into making it look like the real deal.
Could they not do something a little more constructive with there computers, one of these days im goin to learn how to write a virus and aim it straight at them!!!
See how funny they think it is!!

Be very careful about opening unsolicited emails that state Microsoft Support, especially if they have attachments. A number of virus's are doing the circuits with that heading.If you have good safeguards installed, then you should be okay, providing your safeguards are up to date.
