failed CMOS?

hey, i tried overclocking my CPU [1.3Ghz Athlon], but when i saved the changed, i can't see anything on my monitor, it stays off.
I have tried resetting the CMOS (jumper settings) and taking the BIOS battery out and replacing it. everything still works, except there is no beeping sound, and the monitor stays off.

Try removing one or more memory sticks, if might reset the BIOS and prompt you to enter the BIOS.
