Failed attempt at adding to woodchip's boot thread

Having failed in five attempts to add to woodchip's XP boot floppy thread, for which I apologise, may I ask woodchip or anyone else if they have any other ideas for finding NTDETECT.COM and NTLDR because I, like Pamy, have tried woodchip's suggestion for doing ths but without success?

NTDETECT.COM is a system file as is NTLDR. You have to change te settings in \tools\folder options\view so that hidden and system files are displayed. is in the root directory of your C: drive as is NTLDR.

When you have copied them, remember to change your setting back.

Thanks to HondaMan, but the method didn't work for me with NTDETECT.COM. In the case of NTLDR, Windows produced something which it said could be unsafe, so I took cold feet and didn't proceed.
