1st off what problems are you having some one may be able to help without a format

2nd what o/s are you running and do you have a disk

Hi devil fish,
xp os. to much junk on disc, want to start from scratch.

What are you wanting to reset, please advise the manufacturer/model.

if you have the full xp disk set cd/dvd rom to 1st bootable device in the bios

to enter bios reboot machine at post you should see a message to enter setup press usually delete but may be another key

once done let the machine continue booting then insert your disk and reboot

you should then get a message at post saying boot from cd followed by a message saying to boot from cd press any key do this and follow on screen instructions it will give you a format option during set up

NOTES back up anything you need you will be erasing all data

Make sure you have full xp disk to hand and the product key

make sure you have any relevent driver disks and software with license keys that you need to hand

hope the above helps

Hi Dipso,
IBM 8303-21g, I can get into bios but dont know what to do.

Not familiar with IBM restore options but if you have a restore disc follow Devil Fish's advice and boot from the restore disc or XP disc.
