F1 to Continue - Delete to enter Set Up

I'm using XP and when I turn the PC on I am asked to press F1 to continue or delete to enter setup, this has just begun to happen in the last few weeks.
I looked looked at the BIOS settings,
The first Boot Device - Floppy
2nd Boot Device - Hard Disk
3rd Boot Device - LS120

I changed to Hard Disk, Floppy, and LS120 - saved with F10 and continued.
When I checked the BIOS on next start up it had reverted to Floppy, Hard Disk and LS120

I have just noticed that my clock had reverted 1st January, 2003 1430.

Do you think the problem lies with the PC Battery, and is it a easy thing to change?

Sounds like the battery - see click here

Thanks VoG™, I looked at the link,it suggests I make a note of the BIOS settings? does this mean just the the one page would you think.
As a matter of interest, I telephoned my local
computer shop about the battery DL2032, they quoted £5.00, I telephoned Maplins a little distance away - £1.99.

I would make a note of every page. The easiest way would be to photograph them.

Your original BIOS settings will be loast already.

Just change the battery, Auto detect the HDDs and set the BIOS to its default settings, save and exit(F10).

VoG™, fair enough, I can do that :-) thanks

Do you Have Use a LS120. If not change it to CD

Also looks like you need a new Motherboard Battery fitting

Thanks everyone, I took the Photographs and changed the battery.
The BIOS settings had not changed from the photographs and the PC seems to be running as normal except for my lost Internet connection.
I will start another thread.

woodchip, I have LS120 installed, I thought it was my second drive?
My loading sequence is Floppy, HD and LS120 is that as it should be?

Yes
