Have just set up F Secure. It has a tool called Internet Shield. Is this a fire wall, and if so, should I thus disable the MS XP Home version to avoid any conflicts.

Cannot provide you with any specific help with F-secure but can suggest you look into the Help/tutorial that came with it &/or download a User Manual for your specific product from the F-secure website - click here

Correct me anyone if I'm wrong: if you enable any 3rd party firewall sw in WinXP, WinXP's firewall usually automatically plays second fiddle & disables itself (unless you manually re-enable it yourself).

Hope you're able to find a solution to your queries. Good luck, G

F-Secure advise that no problem with Windows XP Firewall enabled or disabled. They say all works fine with or without !
