Extracting a photo from quicktime player

Hi all is it possible to extract a photo from quicktime player?,i have tried using windows movie maker,and trying to do a screen shot of just the quicktime video when it was paused,but then the picture came up black.

Edit, then Copy from the menu? Then pasting into a paint program?

Works for me. But then again, ALT+Print Screen to capture the window works for me.

Are you sure it isn't something about the .mov file that is protected or something? Can you do it on other files?

I have converted the .mov file to avi and used windows movie maker to extract the picture.

I should have thought of this earlier.
