extra IDE connections needed

i need to add more hard drives to my pc is there a way to increase the number of IDE channels on my pc? i have asus a7v8x m/board.
thanks for any help

You need a ribbon with more outlets to add hard drives, but make sure you enable each added hard drive as a slave,there should be jumpers on it.

You can buy a PCI card which will provide two more channels giving you four more devices.

You could of course add Scsi hard drives also

You cannot have an IDE cable with more than two connectors. Switchers advice is the right way. Promise are probably the major manufacturer.
