External SATA Drive?

OK I don't think my mobo supports SATA HDD's. However on Ebay SATA Drives are much cheaper than equivelent EIDE drives.

External USB Enclosures are available at reasonal prices for SATA drives.

So... If I buy a SATA Drive and a SATA/USB Enclosure will the SATA drive work with my PC?

I already have an EIDE USB drive that works well but I need something much bigger.

My Mobo is Winfast 748K7AA, I'd rather not muck about too much inside the case.

Yep, should do. It's the USB interface that counts, as the caddy is doing the conversion.
