Is it possible to boot a pc from an external drive if that deive is the only one with an oson it?

Someone at work was asking but I wasn't sure.

Yes, if the PC is capable of booting via USB - even can do it with a thumb drive

Not sure about with a OS on it. If it's fast enough and the OS was put on after it had got a OS on C:\ I would think it would dual boot from the Drive. This also depends how New the Computer is at handling USB2
