I've got a 3 yr old Packard Bell I-media pc which has USB-2. I'm wanting to get an external hard-drive to back things up (music, pictures & documents) - for around £100 (or less!) Any suggestions - or anything I need to watch out for? Thanks.

I bought a Packard Bell External Hard Drive 250 on the 10th of this month from PCW had trouble with it returned to PCW today it would not load, they scrapped it with all my backup gone!! not repairable. Or sugested I pay an expert about £100
to recover back up!!
Got my money back. My Western Digital 250 on order as above is cheaper, and some would argue a better product.

Western Digital keeps coming up. I've come across their stuff before and these replies seem to confirm that the 250 would be a good move. Thanks to all for suggestions & comments. Much appreciated.

I had to return a faulty two week old Packard Bell external hard drive last week to PC world the above model wasn't available last week.

They wanted to replace my 250gb with a Packard Bell 150gb which was even so was on display £10 dearer than the one I was returning, had I seen the above one I think I would have jumped at it.
It looks a good buy.
