Just wondering like.....

Does it make any difference in performance of these if you load/save your games to an external hard drive rather than them sitting on your normal hard drive.

Cheers

The answer is it could do......make sure the external drive uses a FireWire or USB2 connection and has a decent 7200rpm drive disc with 8Mb+ cache.......If it uses a bog standard USB1 connection and/or slow drive disc game level loading times will be greatly increased and you could get frame rate stuttering caused by slow data transfer to the graphics card.

Other than that most games will install and run fine from an external drive.

Thanks,

Yes, I have USB2 connections and a 7200rpm disc drive with 8mb+cache as I have a Maxtor one touch.
