Hi, I was wondering if anyone could help with this:
I was recently given an old laptop: IBM Thinkpad 560z PII 96MB, 1 USB port. Its not up to much but i'm hoping to just use it for MS office etc..
It has an external floppy (with a pc card) supplied but i want to get an external cd drive to install programs, i have seen some chepos on ebay but am worried if they will be compatible, how can i tell if it will work with my machine?
Any advice appreciated, thanks.

An external CD that works off the USB should be OK but will work slowly (but fast enough) off the USB1 port.
