Ext HDD transfer

Hi all, This may be a dumb question to ask, but you should be used to my dumb questions by now!
I have an important file in my `C` drive with a vast amount of info and I have copied it to my `F` EXT HDD for safe keeping, and just to be on the safe side I have bought another `G` EXT HDD with which I wish to save the file again. Which is the best way to do this transfer, copy, back up, move, copy/paste,?? thanks for any help.

Click on your file in C: and right click and choose Send to your G: drive. Make a new folder in your G: for it first if you want.
