Export Outlook Address Book

  griffo 11:44 28 Oct 08

I need to access and export email address books (2 email accounts) in Outlook 2003 from a hard drive taken from non-functioning PC.

The drive is in a usb caddy and is working fine (slave), attached to the new replacement PC.

Can someone please tell me how to find each one (.pst files?) and how to transfer them into Outlook 2007 on the new PC?

. . . you'll have a good chance.

Set it to Slave and connect it up as a 2nd drive on another system.

When you've booted up, just do a Search / Find on it for your .pst files.

This helpful ? Need more info ?

Thanks for the reply.

I have searched and found a number of entries. I can also see which person (therefore which email account) they relate to.

How do I get the file from the old HD into the new Outlook 2007 installation please?

On your File menu in Outlook you have an Import function - and one of the options should be .pst files - browse to where they are (it's possible that Outlook might find them automatically using the import function, but if not then guide it to where you've searched out the .pst files
