explorer + win95

We have got an old networked pc at work that we only use as a printer server and some basic word processing, it currently runs win95, we now have the need to use it to connect to the internet using the office network/broadband connection. However it currently has got explorer ver 3 on it and we need to update this, but to what version?? microsoft.com seems to indcate that ver 5 upwards is only supported by win98/me etc. I know that we could install win98 on it but to do this we would need to upgrade it and the cost factor is an issue (no laughs about the company i work for, I know how we operate on a shoestring month to month) So how can we update this without having to upgrade the machine?? Any suggestions wellcome along with where to get the upgrade??

Version 5.01 if you can find it - perhaps at click here - oldversion.com

Just checked - it is not there. HAve a look at some cover disks if you can find them, or maybe a google search will find it. I will have a look and see where I get to.
