exfat to ntfs format (raw)

have tried to format my new exfat usb drive on xp but no joy. downloaded the xp driver,and tried disk manager. got to 100% and said did not complete the format,now the drive is in raw format. what do i do now. just want it in ntfs.

I don't think that you can do it using XP. Win7 will do it so if you have a friend with 7 ask them, it only takes a few mins.

The software I linked to is XP specific to format USB drives to NTFS. I have used it successfully for years.

In that case I would think that OP has a duff drive but maybe worth a try with W7 just to confirm.

I used "partition manager free" to format my usb stick because i too found HPs disc format tool wouldnt format the drive,a 64gb cube memory stick
