Exception processing error

Each time I start my PC I have a window appear "Windows No disc. Exception processing errorc0000013 Parameters 75b6bf9c" It takes 2 or 3 "continues" or clicks on the X and all seems OK. Has anyone an idea of what causes this and is it possible to stop it? The machine is running XP home with SP2. Many thanks Dave

Windows No disc. Exception processing error

Type the above into your Google search box. There are quite a few postings that may help you.

It'll probably be something you have set (or has set itself) to run at startup. What is listed in your startup tab in msconfig? Go to Start > Run, type in

and click OK, then click the Startup tab, to see what's ticked. The entries that are ticked are those loading at startup.

A scan with an antivirus and an antispyware application wouldn't do any harm either.
