Exception message

My Dell Pentium XP PC has started to produce the following exception message totally at random.
'Exception processing message c0000013 Parameters 75b6bfgc 4 75b6bfgc 75b6bfgc
Inserting any floppy in the floppy drive and clicking any of the three offered options:
Cancel/Try again/Continue makes the message disappear and all seems to work perfectly so long as a floppy remains in the drive. The message occurs when I am not using the floppy drive for any purpose.
Any diagnosis/suggestions for curing this irritation much appreciated.

saving a file to a floppy disk in the recent past?

Try creating a new file, and saving it to a floppy. Then, open the file from the floppy and save it to your hard drive.

Dear Ed, Thanks for this. Loneliness averted. Will try solution and test.
