Excel XP

Example 1:
I have 5 rows together. If I cut, say, row 3 and move down the page and paste, the row pastes okay and rows 4 and 5 move up in the original group to become 3 and 4.

Example 2:
This is fine. However, when I paste row 3 into another worksheet, it pastes fine but the original row on the first sheet appears as a blank row insteading of disappearing.

Any ideas?

I don't have access to XP at the moment but I think it is a "feature".

As a workaround, select the rows and Data/Sort. That will eliminate the blanks (well, move the blank rows to the bottom).
