Excel Whole Numbers

In the past before I installed Windows XP, in my worksheets, when I put a whole number (say15) into a cell and pressed return, it showed as 15 now it shows as 1.50
I have gone into "format Cell" and the only thing I can do is to alter the number of decimal places which I have to 2. I have also looked in "Options" but can see nothing of any relevence.

Why has it suddenly changes and how do I overcome it?? Am I having a mental blockage.

Regards

I am not sure - but go to Control Panel>regional Settings and have a look around there and see if any thing obvious jumps out!

(at least this will bump you up the list!).

Thanks for your input GroupFC but I have fixed it.

I knew it had to be something simple. I unticked "fix Decimal Places" in "options - edit"

Why it should change just because I now use Windows XP is a mystery.

Thanks anyway
