# Excel roundup formula

I have been trying to solve a little Roundup problem.

Say for instance Row 1 from A1:G1 has numeric values with 3 decimal places. I am trying to get the total to round these up, I have tried a number of ways to do this with out any luck. there must be a simple answer of which I am not seeing?

Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

Not quite sure what you mean by "round up". Do you just want a single figure in the total or will you still want decimals, and if so how many decimal places?

Do you mean that you want a total that reflects the rounded up value of each of the cells A1 to G1 rather than just a total which is itself rounded up as in =ROUNDUP(SUM(A1:G1),0)?

I'm not sure either. Can you expand a bit, recap.

Yes, sorry folks. Each cell has a number like 234.567 and I want to round that number up to a whole number 234 in the total.

I have just tried Eric10 formula and it works. I was not including the ,0) part of the forumla.

Thanks for all your time folks.

Eric10's formula should do what you want.

Also Format|Cells and change the number formatting to 0 decimal places.

Thanks VoG™, but it's a little complicated, I have all other formulae done but the roundup one.

Thanks again.
