Excel: removing figures

Hi - anyone know if this is possible, please?

Col A contains a list of about 1000 stock reference numbers, consisting of 6 digits, a decimal point and a further 6 digits. Can you remove the first 6 numbers and the decimal point?

Make sure that Column A is formatted as text.

Then in B1 enter

=RIGHT(A1,6)
