Excel question

I want to insert a date into a cell but, drag that date down the column without any changes to the date. example 05/05/03 from cell A1 to cell A12.

Is there a way of doing this instead of copy and pasting the date from the original cell?

Found it need to create a formulae. day in A1, Month in B1 and year in C1 formulae =DATE(A1,B1,C1) this then allows to drag the date down without any changes.

As far as I know, copy and paste is the only way. If you try to drag it down the value will increment by 1 day in each cell as you pull the cursor down.

Hold down CTRL whilst dragging the mouse down. Release the mouse button before CTRL.

Thanks VoG™, I remembered a posting with info on from you a while ago for xlfdic01 and I got the formulae from that.
